Today, a meeting was held in the administration of the Nakhodka city district on the implementation of the construction project of the Nakhodka mineral fertilizer plant.
The main issue on the agenda was the involvement of local personnel in the project.
According to the general director of AO NFP Taras Ganaga, the company is interested in attracting as many residents of Nakhodka and Primorsky Territory as possible, as well as local contractors.
“Our main contractor at the current stage is the Nakhodka OAO Kompleks. At the site where excavation is currently underway, there are about 150 employees of the construction company, more than 100 units of heavy equipment have been mobilized.
In general, at present, almost three dozen local companies are our contractors. They are involved with geodesy, surveys, electricity and water supply, water disposal and technical supervision. The number of local – from Primorsk - contractors will certainly grow, ”said Taras Ganaga.
“Even today NFP is a significant employer in our city, providing contracts and orders for our entrepreneurs. We look forward to the plant being put into operation. This will give Nakhodka more than one and a half thousand highly qualified jobs, become a source of additional tax deductions, and will contribute to further economic and social development of our city, ”added Boris Gladkikh, head of the Nakhodka city district.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to compliance with all environmental standards during the implementation of the project. It is known that NFP is currently collecting public proposals for the draft scope of work for the development of the “Environmental Impact Assessment” section of the design documentation.
Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant (NFP) is a large-scale investment project for the construction of methanol and ammonia production capacities in the Russian Far East.
The construction is carried out under the “turnkey” EPC contract with the leading international contractor for the construction of gas chemical plants - China Chengda Engineering Co., Ltd.
The construction of the plant will ensure the creation of more than 1,500 highly qualified jobs in the Nakhodka city district, and after tax holidays and launch of the Phase 2, up to 14.5 billion tax revenues to budgets of all levels annually.
