NFP starts the assembly of steel structures

Construction of the Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant has reached a new stage, i.e. the assembly of steel structures. Today the construction site sees the rapid erection of metal stairs and beam structures, the prerequisites for equipment and pipeline installation. The structures will also be used for the installation of the production process control system and access platforms for operators.

Last July marked the beginning of the plant’s “upward growth”, i.e. the beginning of foundation works; and the first piece of equipment was installed in October. Today we have 28 pieces of high-tech equipment installed as the foundation works are 80% completed.

“If last year we mostly spoke about site preparation and initial stages of substructure and superstructure construction, then 2025 is the time of rapid installation of production systems and major construction works. This indicates a good project implementation rate. We have finished the construction of all infrastructure facilities: local treatment facilities, upland ditches for storm water drainage and potable water tanks,” says Viktor Grebenyukov, the Executive Director of NFP.

The design capacity of the Plant will allow to process 3.15 B m3 of natural gas per year and produce 1.8 M tons of finished products within the same period of time.

After the start-up, NFP will make top five methanol production facilities in Russia. The Plant will reach its target capacity in 2027. Today NFP is one of three largest investment projects in the Far East and one of top ten Russian projects with 227 million rubles of private investments.
