More than 30 Units of Equipment Installed at the NFP Construction Site
Construction and installation work is actively progressing at the Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant, where steel structures are being erected and 38 units of equipment have already been put in place. Of these, 18 units have been installed since the beginning of 2025.
Currently, five columns have been installed on the foundations, along with equipment for Natural Gas Desulfurization, Prereformer, Water Cooling, Raw Methanol Separation, and Air Separation.
Complex installation work is ongoing for the sectional equipment for both Primary and Secondary Reformer. The equipment for the Primary Reformer will consist of 12 large-capacity modules and over 11,000 steel components of various designs. Assembly of the Primary Reforming Furnace has begun; the convection section has already been completed, and work is now underway on the radiation section of the Furnace.
“Installing two units of equipment per week is a solid and stable indicator over the past four months. We are systematically building the plant and, in some processes, even ahead of schedule. NFP is expected to reach its planned capacity by 2027, becoming an industrial giant with methanol production volumes of 1.8 million tons per year,” said Viktor Grebenyukov, Executive Director of NFP.
Capital construction is the main focus for this year. Plans include not only the installation of all equipment but also the completion of the Marine Terminal, Seawater desalination unit, Substation, and the full construction of the Main Gas Pipeline. Once production begins, the Plant’s design capacity will enable it to process up to 3.15 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually.
It is worth noting that the Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant is one of the three largest investment projects in the Far East and ranks among the top 10 in the country, with private investments totaling 227 billion rubles, a third of which has already been invested.
