NFP will finish construction of the Marine Terminal in 2026

NFP has finished concreting of the superstructure of the Marine Terminal, having poured more than 10,000 cubic meters of concrete. Now the facility has moved into the equipment installation phase.

“Over the past year we have finished pile installation and concreting of the Marine Terminal. Now we have started installation of loading arms and completed installation of the very first piece of equipment – the Methanol Vapor Absorber. Our goal is to finish construction of the Marine Terminal in the second half of the year,” says Viktor Grebenyukov, the Executive Director of NFP.

The Marine Terminal constructed for loading finished product is comprised of an approach trestle, a process platform, four mooring dolphins and four breasting dolphins. It will be also equipped with a telescopic gangway and a laser mooring system, which will provide access for vessels of up to 195 meters, with capacity of up to 53,000 tons and draft of up to 13 meters.

The facility complies with all the requirements of environmental safety since the product transportation system is a closed and sealed one. Product methanol will be transported directly from the tank to the vessel. The forecast turnover is 1.8 million tons of finished product per year.

The NFP Marine Terminal will ensure safe and uninterrupted shipment of product methanol to the clients and will become a new milestone in the development of port infrastructure in Nakhodka. The launch of the Plant will increase the non-resource non-energy (NRE) export of Primorye by the factor of 1.5. The design capacity of the Plant will be reached in 2027, which will make it one of top five leaders in the country.
