Methanol Synthesis Columns have arrived at the Port of Nakhodka. The construction site is almost completely ready for the commencement of their installation. The tallest 80 meters crude methanol column will be installed with a 1700t lifting crane specifically manufactured for its installation. The foundation for the column is also ready.

“We are stepping into the active stage of the construction of foundation and upper structures. We are pouring concrete in every area of the construction site and in the main area of the Methanol Synthesis Unit we are going to start installation of the main equipment within this year,” says Viktor Grebenyukov, the Executive Director of NFP.

Now the construction site is about to see the completion of all the earthworks. More than 5000 people and 200 pieces of machinery are involved in the implementation of the project. Most of the engaged subcontractors are small businesses.

Once the Plant is launched, NFP will be producing 1.8 million tons of methanol per year. The Plant will increase the city and regional budgets by 25 million rubles by the middle of 2036 once it starts paying 13.5 million rubles in taxes annually.
