NFP completes the Site levelling of the Plant main area
More than eight million cubic meters of soil have been excavated and delivered by NFP contractors to the Plant main area – Methanol Unit. Facility earthwork is almost completed: it remains to reinforce the slopes and form the main drains.
Construction of the Marine Terminal, which will be able to accommodate up to 105 ships daily, is underway. Foundations works on the site are in progress, and more than fifty equipment units have been installed.
“This is the year of capital construction for NFP. The Plant has noticeably grown “upwards” and we are now closer to the start of production. Whereas the end of last year and the first quarter of 2025 were characterized by active equipment installation, now we have moved on to the next stage – the erection of steel structures. At the main Plant facility – Methanol Unit – these works are almost 50% complete. We have also started the installation of the Water Treatment Station storage tanks”, says Victor Grebenyukov, Executive Director of NFP.
Site levelling is the most time-consuming and labor-intensive part of construction. Its completion will significantly expedite the works. Over the next year it is planned to install the main equipment, complete the gas branch line, carry out concrete works on the approach trestle of the Marine Terminal, and conduct construction and installation works for the Substation and Water treatment and desalination unit.
It is planned that NFP will reach its rated capacity in 2027. This industrial giant, producing 1.8 million tonnes of methanol per year, will be one of the top five enterprises in the country in terms of production output.
