The Football Team of NFP Makes It To Primorye Top Five

The football team of NFP has made it to the top five corporate teams of the energy and fuel complex of Primorsky Krai, according to the results of the Mini-Football Championship. The tournament took place at the “Lokomotiv” stadium in Ussuriysk where 16 regional teams competed. The tournament was organized by the Ministry of Energy and Gas Supply of Primorsky Krai and the Primorsky branch of OOO Tomsk Gazprom Transgaz.

During the first group stage, the teams were divided into four subgroups. The strongest football players from each subgroup competed in the semifinals. Although NFP’s athletes did not advance from the subgroup stage, their accumulated points allowed the team to secure a place in the top five. In their first match, the NFP players lost with a score of 0:1, drew in the second match (1:1), and won the third match against “Vostoknefteprodukt” with a score of 1:0.

“This tournament took place for the second time, and it was the first time we participated in it. Some teams clearly showed their football experience, but we also performed well. I have no complaints about our defense, but the offense is more challenging for us. We will work on it and practice combinations during training. Additionally, we felt quite nervous, which can only be overcome through experience gained in major tournaments. Even though we made a regrettable mistake that the opponent took advantage of in the first game, in the last match we had better field control, made numerous attacks, and held overall dominance throughout the game. The result speaks for itself. We are filled with joy, and the team has a bright future!” commented the team captain, Yuri Vykhodtsev, who is also the head ecologist of NFP.

Supporting the sports is a priority of NFP’s social policy. Creating comfortable conditions for sports activities is an important criterion for ensuring that active residents of Nakhodka continue stay and work in their hometown. Fostering a sporting spirit among employees is an integral part of NFP’s corporate policy. The corporate football team trains twice a week, and NFP covers the rental of the facility, necessary equipment, and sports inventory.

In the near future, the NFP team plans to participate in the Second League of the Nakhodka Championship among amateur teams, which will start at the end of May. In September, they will compete for the Nakhodka Cup among amateur teams.
