NFP is Granted Permit to Build Marine Terminal
The Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) has granted a permit to NFP for the marine terminal construction. The document was signed on 25 August, 2022.
Earlier, the State Expert Review Board (GGE) approved the project documentation and engineering survey results for the construction of the marine terminal. Rosprirodnadzor also issued a positive conclusion on this facility. This means that the project documentation on the NFP’s marine terminal complies with the environmental requirements set in technical regulations and the relevant legislation.
The marine terminal, which will become one of the most important parts of the future plant, is designed to receive and handle vessels that will take finished products onboard. The water area of the terminal will amount to 38.3 thousand square meters; the cargo turnover is planned to reach 1.8 mln. tons of methanol per year. The terminal will be able to receive up to 105 ships annually, while the methanol loading rate will be 1,250 tons per hour.
This is the fifth NFP’s facility that has been granted GGE’s positive conclusion. As per the established schedule, the company is currently constructing access roads to the future construction site, an in-house potable water tank and wastewater treatment units.
